FINTIRI CONGRATULATES ADAMAWA UNITED FOR WINNING PROMOTION TO NPFL

The Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated the state football team, Adamawa United over its historic promotion to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL)

Fintiri said, his government is ready to offer all the necessary support to the team to perform at the highest level and that youth empowerment is a critical aspect of the his government's drive.

This is contained in a press statement issued by the Director General Media and Communications to the Adamawa state governor, Solomon Kumangar, and  made available to NR Wednesday.

Kumangar said, "Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has congratulated Adamawa United for their historic qualification to the Nigerian Premier League.

"The promotion couldn’t come at a better time than this, stressed that his administration will work round the clock to see to the success of the team."

The statement further said, "Governor Fintiri described the achievement as one too many and that his administration which is youth friendly will always accord them all the necessary support and encouragement they deserve.

"Furthermore, the Governor mentioned that football unites people from all races and religion, urged them to make use of the opportunity to prove to the world that Adamawa State have talented individuals.

“It’s been long I saw any sportsman or woman from Adamawa representing the state in an international level, it will be a thing of joy if our players will be selected to play for the national team in the future.

"While reiterating the commitment of his administration to empower youths, he promised them of his commitment to reviving sport in the state."
