Adamawa2023: Sen. Binani Not on My Radar - Does She Really Gets Every Office She Aspires to At the First Time of Asking?
Binani was not on my mind and probably not on any political analyst mind, as a possible and formidable candidate to clinch the APC governorship ticket of the usually rancarous and chaotic APC.
She made the least noise, the fewest of public movements but made the biggest of impacts on the D-Day, the primary.
The Senator representing Adamawa Central, Engr. Aishatu Dahiru Binani surprised everyone when by the morning, she was announced to have emerged as APC candidate for the 2023 general elections beating Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and the immediate past Governor of Adamawa state, Mohammed Umaru Jibrillah Bindow.
The Adamawa Central political power house emerged as the first female governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Nigeria.
When I went to sleep last night, I was pretty much sure that the "demons" that shadowed and pleagued APC in 2019 general elections have returned and are fully at work and that party primary would implode or at best metamorphose into some grotesque season of madness and confusion.
little did I know that my morning will be brightened by a pleasant surprise, called Binani. Six candidates, one quite woman.
Details emerging from the primary suggests that the ABU graduate of Engineering.Aishatu Dahiru Binani, polled a massive 430 votes to power herself to victory against five other male contenders.
She did not just win, she has entered into the annals of history as the first woman to become a candidate of major political party in Nigeria.
Although she was highly underated before the primary, the fearless female politician has once again displayed her fearlessness and what makes her a trailblazer on the political scene of Adamawa state, become the governorship candidate of the APC in Adamawa state come 2023 general elections.
I should have known that she gets every political office she aspires to at the first time of asking! House of Reps, the Senate and now on her way to hoist her party's flag to run for the governor of Adamawa state.
In the overnight contest, Sen Aishatu Binani was closely trailed by the former EFCC boss, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu who polled 288 and the former Governor of Adamawa state, Sen. Muhammadu Umaru Bindow who scored 103 votes
Abdulrazak Namdas, Wafari Theman, and Umar Mustapha Madawaki polled 94, 21, and 39 respectively..
Below are the details of votes cast:
Wafari Theman 21 votes
Bindiow Mohammed 103 votes

ReplyDeleteShe doesn't get every contest won, when she attempted contesting for Senate along side her husband contesting Gubernatorial, she lost as the people noticed the family and friends greed undertone.
ReplyDeleteI strongly believe it's just another subtle strategy to penetrate the people yet in future I see her reverting to the same family and friend's dominance.
Well the fact is with a capable hand like Governor Fintiri she has no chance. The Zebra can not change it's true colour, so do not think she really has a chance.
