Binani-APC on a Collision Course as Party Rejects Presidential Campaign Council List from Binani

Daily Rendezvous
In another twist of events, the Adamawa' state chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has rejected the list of members of Presidential Campaign Council, published by the governoship candidate of the party, Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Binani saying it undermines the party and other relevant stakeholders of the party.

The acting Chairman of the party, Samaila Taddawus said, there is nothing within the workings of tge party the permits the candidate to by-pass the party and members of the national assembly and form members of the state presidential campaign council, unilaterally.

Taddawus made this known in a press statement made available to Newsmen, in Yola, Adamawa state.
The statement reads in part:

"The All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamawa State Chapter surprisingly stumbled over a list of purported state presidential campaign council members in circulation in the Social Media and some National Dailies dated 31st October 2022 as PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT.

"The said list emanated from SEN. AISHATU DAHIRU AHMED (BINANI) as Adamawa State Coordinator, who single handedly generated the list without consulting the Party at both State and Local Governments level for necessary inputs and final approval.

"On enquiry by the Party, it was also confirmed that our members of the National Assembly, State Assembly, Candidates and Critical stakeholders were not consulted either.

"It will be recalled that the National Presidential Campaign Council contacted the Party at the National level for necessary input and final approval before the

"Campaign Secretariat released the list. Therefore, the National Campaign Secretariat did not confer any right on any State Coordinator to bypass the Party and act unilaterally."

The statement affirms that, "In view of the above, the Party hereby rejects the list in circulation and urge Party members and the general public to disregard same.

"The Party have noted the various complaints from stakeholders who have been deliberately omitted and assure everybody that there will be a meeting of the Party Exco, Local Governments Party Chairmen, Candidates and Stakeholders on Friday 4th November 2022 at MUNA HOTEL for proper consultations. A comprehensive list of the State Presidential Campaign Council members will be released thereafter.

"Thank you and Remain Blessed.
Hon. Samaila Tadawus
State Ag. Chairman."
