Sen Binos Trains 50 Southern Adamawa Youths in Solar Energy Technologies Skills

In an effort to curb unemployment, poverty and youth restiveness, the Senator representing southern Adamawa, Binos Dauda Yaroe, has organised a five-day intensive training in Solar energy technologies for about fifty youths drawn from the nine local areas that make up the Southern senatorial zone of Adamawa. 

The training according to Senator Binos, is intended to equip youths in the southern zone with skills in the assembling of solar energy technologies that would help them earn a livelihood, earn some income and pass down the knowledge to their respective communities.

The five-day intensive training which commenced on the 13th Nov. 2023, is designed to equip the youths with the basic knowledge and skills in assembling, maintenance and repairs of of solar energy technologies, the senator says.

Speaking at the occasion, the chief master trainer and Renewable Energy Expert, from the Nigerian Energy Commission, Ibrahim Bayo, commended the training initiative and Sen. Binos for his vision of organizing the training and for equipping his constituents with skills that is relevant to modern trend and beneficial to the youths of Southern Adamawa.

Bayo said the training will ensure that a number of southern senatorial zone youthsl acquire life skills in solar and renewable energy installation, repairs and maintenance and will become self-reliant, employers of labour which will go a long way in curbing youth restiveness and insecurity in the state.

Bayo said some of the skills that will be acquired from the training include, SPV technology, its management, measurement and instrumentation of solar, renewable energy financing and other vital skills in relations to solar energy.

He explained that at the end of the training, participants should be able to design simple solar grids, install, maintain and repair SPV technologies and other renewable technologies and also be able trouble shoot and repair solar street lights amongst many other skills that participants will acquire.

Bayo challenged the senator to maintain the tempo by launching an advanced solar energy raining for beneficiaries in his constituency in order to take their skills to an advanced level.

The master trainer tasked the trainees to pay close attention to details noting that they should count themselves previlege for being part of the training that will change their lives for the best.

Speaking at the occasion, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe who was represented by his Director General, of his campaign organization, Boniface Katawan said the training is borne out of the desire to provide life skills for the teeming youths in his constituency and to address the issue of joblessness, insecurity and youth restiveness in the area.

Katawan said, "Binos has a strong faith in the empowerment of the human person as such all his interventions in organising medical outreaches, water projects and empowering farmers with inputs are deliberately aimed at impacting the lives of the common man directly."

He also encourage the youth to be patient and remain focused during the training as it is a life changing endeavor for them.

During the occasion, various stakeholders, chieftains of the PDP and community leaders praised the initiative, and tasked the senator to intensify his efforts in touching the lives of his constituents. 

The occasion was graced by the  chairman of Numan local government, the representative of Hamma Bachama, among other dignitaries.
