Babachir's Office Attacked by Thugs   By Billy Graham Abel Yola Three vehicles belonging to political allies of the former Secretary to the government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal have been destroyed late Saturday, by some thugs believed to be errand boys of some politicians, in Yola. The hudlums were reported to have stormed the building chanting "Sai Bindow, no direct primaries in 2019,"  some eye witnesses say. One of the political associates of the former SGF, said the attackers were chatting "sai Bindow; no direct primaries in 2019" before wrecking the havoc. The Adamawa state commissioner for information and strategy, Ahmad Sajoh, while distancing his principal from the attack said governor Jibrilla Bindow does not believe in politics of thuggery saying the act must be that of some desperate politicians attempting to overheat the polity in the state.

As political parties continue to pitch their strategies towards 2019, the Adamawa state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has added one more governorship aspirant to its array of gubernatorial hopefuls as the former acting governor and former speaker of the Adamawa state house of assembly, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, declares to challenge governor Jibrilla Bindow in 2019 elections. The former AG governor made his intention known Saturday, at the PDP state secretariat, in Yola.  Fintiri decried that despite Adamawa's huge economic potentials, the state has not been able to make progress due to lack of vision, foresight and understanding of the 21st century style of governance. He called on the people of the state to judge politicians based on their track record, saying his records as former acting governor and speaker lends credence to his ability to bring the much sought after development...

FG Takes the Fight to Atiku, Commissions N22.7 Billion Road Project in His Hometown By Billy Graham Abel Yola As 2019 draws inches nearer, the federal government has taken the fight to Atiku by flagging off the construction of N22.7 billion, 112 kilometers Mayo Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo road in Adamawa state.  The road project which was flagged off by the minister of works, power and housing, Babatunde Fashola who was represented by the minister of power, works and housing 1, Mustapha Baba Shehuri, will cost the FG about N22.7 billion and would be completed within 36 months. Fashola said, the road project is in furtherance of the commitment of president Muhammadu Buhari's administration to address the infrastructural deficit in the country which is aimed at providing the much needed impetus to stimulate economic growth and the ease of doing business. Nigeria Will Soon Overcone it's Challenges-Bindow By Nachafyada Suleiman Yola The Adamawa state Governor,  Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla said Nigeria's economic, political, and security challenges would soon be over stating that the APC led government is focused on ending corruption and sustaining the peace in the north eastern part of the country.
