INSURGENCY: UN RAISES ALARM OVER DISRUPTION OF AID TO OVER 76,000 IDPS IN BORNO By Billy Graham Abel Yola The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, has expressed grave concern over the interruption of aid delivery to about seventy six thousand internally displaced people in Rann, a town in eastern Borno State about 10 kilometers from the border with Cameroon, following a deadly attack by a non-state armed group. The UN huamanitarian coordinator in Nigeria made this known in a press statement made available to Newsmen, Friday. Bindow Takes over Abandoned PDP Electrification Project By Billy Graham Abel The Adamawa state governor, Muhammed Umaru Jibrila Bindow has ordered for the immediate connection of Toungo local government to the national grid, ten years after a contract for the electrification of the area has been abandoned by the PDP led government. The local government is the only local government headquarters  in the state, not to have been connected to the national grid. This is contained in press statement issued by the Chairman Media and Publicity Committee, Adamawa Southern Zone Campaign Council, Martins Dickson, Thursday.
